Welcome!
My name is Uta, a founder of mog&yoga in Southern California. I am a mom of two children and a mindfulness based yoga teacher for the local community and worldwide.
This is my core belief and the root of “why” I do.
Happy me, happy world.
I believe that the purpose of yoga is to get self-reminded that peace exists in our aligned body, mind, and spirit.
The peaceful state impacts beyond.
World peace starts from within.

In the early years of my life, I struggled with an endless spiral of self-doubt, pessimism, and unknown agitation.
Society’s expectations and limitations felt crippling.
I was at lost with the purpose of my life.
My life then changed when I first moved to the United States from Japan at the age of 17.
All around me, I noticed people expressing themselves more freely.
FREE EXPRESSION is what I felt with a deep ease-of-mind.
Finally I found an anchor that grounded me.
Another life-changing stage was the early years of parenthood when I did not have a good balance of work, family, and self-care.
Before I knew it, I lost my health and peace-of-mind.
That is when I encountered yoga.
Initially, I only did yoga for fitness and to recover my body.
I soon realized that I was also gaining inner calmness and stability.
As my mind became peaceful, there was more self-acceptance and openness to others.
Physical health and emotional health are inseparable and intertwined.
My mission is to support from young to adult, the exploration of their peace through a journey of yoga & mindfulness practice.
They are then ready to take-off to the world to express themselves and impact others.
